Alejandro Santos

Hi! I'm Alejandro Santos. I am a lead backend Software Developer and professional Computer Scientist with strong commercial and research experience. I have more than 20 years of software development experience in the commercial, scientific, academic, and computer security industries.

I'm based in London, UK, and Skernac Ltd is my business.

I'm an ex-CERN from ATLAS TDAQ mission-critical software group. I spent 5 years writing code every day, and I was the tech lead of my own projects. I did development and maintenance of an alerting system for Physics experiments, a testing enviroment for a streamming system, C++ data access drivers for a time-series database, and the system design for a Very Large Data Acquisition System (5 TB/s). At CERN I was running the Coding Meet-Up for Programming Interviews. I'm also the co-author of various research papers while at CERN.

My programming skills includes being strong in Java, Python, C++, and data structures and algorithms. I've been a university professor (UNLP) for the Data Structures and Algorithms course. I wrote the exams (midterms) and the course book available here as PDF. Other university teaching includes: Introduction to Programming, Python, and Mathematics. I also Created my own programming language (Despacito) and have one of the best 1000 Stack Overflow answers (algorithms)
